Spicy Tomato Pasta

A quick, comforting bowl of pasta that brings out the depth of Kursat’s Chilli Paste. Full of warmth, sweetness and South American flair. Perfect for busy weeknights when you still want something rich and satisfying.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Kursat’s Chilli Paste

  • 300g dried pasta (penne or rigatoni work well)

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 400g tin chopped tomatoes

  • 50ml pasta water (reserved)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh basil or parsley, to serve

 

Method:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil and cook the pasta according to pack instructions.

  2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onion for 3–4 minutes until soft. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.

  3. Stir in Kursat’s Chilli Paste and cook for 2–3 minutes to release the flavours.

  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and simmer gently for 10–12 minutes. Season to taste.

  5. Stir through the cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water until coated.

  6. Serve with fresh basil or parsley and a drizzle of olive oil.
