Inspired by South African braai traditions, these smoky skewers are bursting with flavour from Kursat’s South African BBQ Paste. Simple to prepare and perfect for sharing, they bring sunshine and spice to any grill.
Ingredients:

3 tbsp Kursat’s South African BBQ Paste

500g chicken breast or thigh, cut into cubes

1 red pepper, chopped into chunks

1 courgette, sliced into thick rounds

1 red onion, cut into wedges

1 tbsp olive oil
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh coriander or parsley, to serve
Method:

In a bowl, mix Kursat’s South African BBQ Paste with olive oil, salt, pepper and splash of water to loosen the paste. Add the chicken and toss to coat evenly.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for deeper flavour).

Thread the chicken and vegetables onto skewers.

Grill or barbecue over medium heat for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and lightly charred.

Serve hot, brushed with a little extra paste for extra shine and flavour.
